Iowa company has to make satelite TV repairs

May 10, 2006 By admin

An eastern Iowa company is making thousands of repairs in Minnesota for installing satellite TV systems that pose a fire risk. In 2004 and 2005, Galaxy 1 Marketing of Bettendorf installed nearly seven-thousand satellite antenna TV systems in Minnesota for DISH network.

A recent audit of the work by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry found that a majority of the installations failed to meet the state’s electrical code, with possible risk of property damage and fire. Officials say most of the installations that violated code were improperly grounded. Galaxy says affected customers will receive a free inspection and repair.
