Victims identified in fatal Carroll County crash

July 4, 2006 By admin

The Iowa State Patrol has identified the victims of Sunday night’s fatal pickup accident in Carroll County. Troopers say the driver of the vehicle, 17-year old Ryan Hagen, was killed, and 15-year old Trevin Quandt was injured during the accident that occurred just after nine p.m., northeast of Templeton. Both of the victims were from Carroll. The teens were traveling in a 1998 Chevrolet pickup on Kitty Hawk Avenue, just north of 290-th Street, when the vehicle went out of control, rolled into a ditch and caught fire. Hagan died at the scene. Quandt was listed in intensive care at a local hospital. The accident remains under investigation.
