Pro-Ams start John Deere Classic

July 10, 2006 By admin

The first round of the John Deere Classic does not tee off until Thursday but the action begins near the Quad Cities later today with the first of two pro-ams. The pros begin their practice rounds on Tuesday and tournament chairman Clair Peterson says that has also been dubbed “Youth Day” at the tournament.

Peterson says they have Iowan Zach Johnson, defending champ Shawn O’Hare, Michelle Wie and Jason Day, and 18-year old. They’re also giving away free shirts and other items and will have a youth clinic at three o’clock

Peterson sats ticket sales have been brisk and it is easier for fans to get their tickets. He says you can print your ticket voucher off at home and then get your tickets. All the action is at the TPC at Deere Run.
