Three from Indiana injured in crash

July 10, 2006 By admin

Three Indiana men were injured Sunday during a single-vehicle rollover accident in western Iowa’s Adair County. According to the Iowa State Patrol, a 1998 G-M-C Jimmy driven by 21-year old David Wade, of Indianapolis, was traveling west on Interstate 80 at around 7:30-a.m., when he fell asleep at the wheel near Adair. Wade awoke to find the S-U-V heading off the left side of the road, and he overcorrected.

The action resulted in the vehicle crossing both lanes of westbound traffic and entering the north ditch, where it rolled and came to rest on its side. Wade was taken by Adair Rescue to Methodist hospital in Des Moines. Two passengers in the S-U-V, 18-year old Matthew Wade and 22-year old Brandon Gore, both of Indianapolis, were transported by Life Flight Helicopter to Methodist Hospital.

A report on the mens’ condition was not available. The Patrol says neither Matthew Wade nor Brandon Gore were wearing their seatbelts when the crash occurred.
