Marshalltown murder trial gets underway

July 11, 2006 By admin

A central Iowa murder trial is getting underway today. Jury selection begins today in Marshalltown in the murder trial of Pedro Perez. Perez was charged in the May 16th murder of 41-year-old Lori Ann Reyes of Marshalltown.

Perez is believed to be the last person to see Reyes alive and was arrested after questioning. Attorneys expect it to take all day to pick a jury, with opening arguments expected Wednesday.
