Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge is reporting its largest-ever cash gift in the school’s 40-year history.
The one-million dollar donation is from Decker Truck Lines of Fort Dodge, through Dale and Donna Decker. For ten years, the trucking company has sponsored 175 students through the college’s truck driver training program.
The donation will go toward things like scholarships for students pursuing transportation careers and will aid a diesel technology program. Iowa Central also has campuses in Webster City, Eagle Grove and Storm Lake.
