Pottawattamie County to release details on woman’s death

August 4, 2006 By admin

Authorities in Pottawattamie County have a scheduled a news conference for later today (Friday), to discuss the results of an autopsy on a body found floating in the Missouri River last May.

Pottawattamie County Attorney Matt Wilber and representatives with the Council Bluffs Police Department are expected to disclose the cause of death for 35-year old Tracy Tribble. The Council Bluffs woman disappeared from her home the morning of May sixth. Her body was found floating in the Missouri River, halfway between Council Bluffs and Omaha, 14-days later. Her remains were identified through the use of dental records and identifiable tattoos.

Authorities have described Tribble’s husband Stan as a person of interest in the case, but no charges have been filed against him. The couple had an argument the night before Tracy disappeared.
