Search underway for possible drowning victim in Cedar Falls

August 8, 2006 By admin

Rescue crews today (Tuesday) plan to resume their search for the body of a man who may have drowned in the Cedar River in Cedar Falls overnight. Around midnight, police and fire rescue officials received a call that a man may have fallen into the river near the dam.

Witnesses reported they heard a man yell for help, but didn’t actually see anyone fall into the water. The area was immediately searched on foot and by boat, but nothing was found. There is no information on the identity of the possible drowning victim.
