Bucks outfielder plays in every game

August 9, 2006 By admin

Waterloo Bucks outfielder Robert Matlock is about to complete an iron-man streak. The native of Jackson,Tennessee is on pace to become the first Bucks player to take the field in all 68-games during a season.

Matlock will be a senior at Freed-Hardeman University in Tennesse this fall and feels this season in the Northwoods League will help his chances of moving on to the professional ranks. He says playing against good teams and good pitching every day will help him next season.

Matlock won’t get a chance to extend his streak in the post-season. The Bucks have been eliminated from the Northwoods League playoff race and the regular season ends on Sunday.
