Hunt underway after fatal drive-by shooting in Davenport

August 21, 2006 By admin

A manhunt is underway after a deadly drive-by shooting in Davenport. Davenport police say several people were in the backyard of a house Saturday night about 10 o’clock when a car pulled up in front of the house. Witnesses say words were exchanged between the two groups and someone in the car fired several shots.

Nineteen-year-old Vincelina Howard of Davenport, a woman who was visiting the house, was hit and rushed to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. Police later found the car, abandoned, and it’s being combed for evidence. As yet, no arrests have been made.
