A man suspected in a Missouri murder case was arrested last night (Tuesday) in central Iowa. Sixty-year-old Pantaleon Salinas of Cedar Rapids was arrested at an Ames residence.

He’s a suspect in the death of a longtime girlfriend, 63-year-old Renee Zeman, of Rolla, Missouri. Zeman previously lived in Cedar Rapids and was found dead Sunday at her home of a knife wound to the neck. A first-degree murder warrant was issued for Salinas. If convicted, he could face the death penalty in Missouri.
