Two Cedar Rapids boys have been arrested for allegedly making bombs. Police were called out Wednesday to a southeast side neighborhood where residents reported hearing several loud noises in the last four or five days. Offices responding found several chemical bombs.

Three of the bombs had not exploded, so the Cedar Rapids bomb squad was called in to make the devices safe. Police then arrested 14-year-old Donovan Ross and 12-year-old Dunte Blair, charging them with reckless use of fire or explosives. The two were released to their parents and referred to juvenile authorities.
