Clinton deaths ruled murder/suicide

September 12, 2006 By admin

Clinton Police say an investigation has determined that a man shot his girlfriend, then shot himself in a murder-suicide. Police were called to a Clinton home this past Saturday and found the bodies of two people, now identified as 44-year-old Mark Brown and 36-year-old Brenda Curnes. The State Medical Examiner and the Clinton County Medical Examiner conducted autopsies Sunday.

As a result of the autopsies and a review of the scene, investigators concluded Brown shot Curnes to death, and then shot himself. Police say Brown was last seen on August 29th and police found no evidence of domestic violence in the relationship between Brown and Curnes.
