Like mother, like daughters. A Mason City woman and her two teen girls are accused of carting off more than two-thousand dollars in clothes from a store. Officers were called to Decker’s Sporting Goods on a report of three females being detained for shoplifting. A store employee allegedly saw a woman placing merchandise that had not been paid for into a vehicle.

The employee confronted the woman and with help from other employees held the car and two of the occupants until officers arrived. A third passenger fled the car and was later picked up by officers. All three were charged with second-degree theft, a Class D felony: 42-year-old Cindy Sue Johnson and 18-year-old Jane Irene Mikkelson are being held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail on 97-hundred-50 dollars bond. 14-year-old Sueann Marie Johnson was released to a relative.
