Electrolux plans to hire 200-300 workers in Webster City

September 14, 2006 By admin

The “help wanted” sign is up at Hamilton County’s largest employer. Electrolux in Webster City plans to hire 200 to 300 workers at its laundry products factory to support an increase in demand.

It’s encouraging news since the company announced earlier this year that 700 jobs would be cut at the plant, as Electrolux plans to move the positions to a factory being built in Mexico. It’s expected to open late next year or in 2008. The Webster City plant has a current workforce of two-thousand.
