The Iowa Hawkeyes have climbed two spots to 14th on the latest Associated Press top 25. The Hawkeyes are 3-0 after winning Saturday’s instate matchup against Iowa State 27-17.

Iowa rallied from a 14-3 first half deficit behind quarterback Drew Tate who returned from injury to fire three touchdown passes and a defense which held ISU to only a field goal in the second half. Ohio State strengthened its hold on the top spot and Auburn jumps top number two after Michigan Blew out Noter Dame on the road.

USMC is third, West Virginia and Florida complete the top five. Michigan is up five spots to 6to. Texas is seventh and rounding out the top ten it is Louisville, Georgia and LSU. Virginia Tech is 11th. Notre Dame falls to 12th then its Oregon the Hawkeyes and tennesse. at number 16, Oklahoma is 17th after a loss to Oregon.

Florida State drops to 18th but still a spot in front of a Clemson team the Seminoles lost to. Arizona state and Boston college are tied for 20th. California is 22nd and rounding out the poll its Nebraska, Penn State and Boise State.

The Hawkeyes open the Big Ten race this weekend at Illinois, The Illini are 1-2 on the season after a 31-21 loss to Syracruse.
