Report says Waterloo police officer under investigation

Information released in eastern Iowa says a law officer is facing allegations of misconduct. A Waterloo police officer is under investigation for alleged criminal misconduct. In July, the Waterloo Police Department received a report of illegal activity by an officer. The officer in question, Rob Michael, has been put on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.

Due to the nature of the allegations, the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Department was initially called into investigate the incident. The findings of the investigation were then turned over to the Dubuque County Attorney’s Office for review.
