U-N-I says they’ll have to play smart against I-S-U

September 27, 2006 By admin

U-N-I coach Mark Farley says the Panthers will have to play smart football when they visit Iowa State this weekend. The Panthers are 2-1 and have not played since a September 16th victory over South Dakota State. Farley says his players will be ready motivational wise, but he says they have to be sure they’re fundamentally sound, because he says Iowa State will exploit you if you don’t take care of things.

Farley says I-S-U is an excellent football team and it will be tough to go head-to-head with them. Farley says while the Panthers realize they are a big underdog the wins that 1-AA programs have against division one foes this season shows it can be done. He says it’s an opportunity and if they have a good day you never know what will happen.

Farley says this is a good game for his team to see where they stand. Farley says they Panthers want to do more than just make a good showing. Farley says, “There’s never been a game that we’ve walked on the football field that we didn’t think we had an opportunity to win the game. We’re not brass enough to say we’re gonna go out and win games. We never have about any team we’ve play. But, as the same time we can have the quite confidence to got out and play some good football.”
