The U-N-I Panthers are on the road this weekend for a key Gateway Conference against fifth ranked Youngstown State. Panther coach Mark Farley says this will be one of several big games during the conference race. Farley says every game is important in the conference and there’s o question it will have an impact on how things turn out.

Farley says Youngstown State does not try to fool you. Farley says they are a power team that plays “Woody Hayes football,” and pound it at you and you’re in a battle that’s won at the line of scrimmage.
Farley says Youngstown running back Marcus Mason is one of the top players in the Gateway. Farley calls him a combination between a speed back and a power back.

Senior kicker Brian Wingert became U-N-I’s all-time scoring leader in last weeks victory at Indiana State. Farley says Wingert has been reliable since he first stepped onto the field. Farley says Wingert has played since his freshman season when they took the redshirt off of him. Farley says he has won a lot of games for U-N-I.
