October 19, 2006 By admin

Cedar Falls Police charged two people following a hit-and-run accident outside a tavern early this morning (Thursday). Just before two A.M. today a bar employee was struck by a vehicle in the Coconuts parking lot in Cedar Falls. The suspect vehicle then fled the scene at a high rate of speed, driving over curbs and grassy areas.

Police were able to stop the vehicle in a nearby parking lot, where the driver 22-year-old Alexis Williams of Waterloo and her passenger 25-year-old Sophia Mays of Waterloo fought with officers to resist being arrested.

Williams is being charged with aggravated assault, reckless driving, interference with official acts, driving while suspended, and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.
