Hawarden police have filed murder charges against one suspect in a double murder last weekend, but the suspect is still at large.

Rodolfo Ramos is charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with two killings in Hawarden last Sunday. He’s also charged now with attempted murder.

Ramos and his brother, Enrique, fled the scene but their car was found in Sioux City on Monday.

Police say Ramos may have facial injuries from a car accident. He’s described as five-ten to 6-feet tall and weighing about 180 pounds.

Enrique Ramos is being sought as a material witness in the case — he’s believed to have abandoned the 1999 Chevy Tahoe. Police say he may have relatives in Omaha, or Lincoln, Nebraska.

Authorities say both men should be considered armed and dangerous.
