Wells Dairy celebrates new corporate center

October 26, 2006 By admin

Wells Dairy celebrated the opening of its new corporate center Wednesday. The 177-thousand square foot facility is built on a hillside on the south side of Le Mars. The consolidation of seven dairy office locations is just west of the soon-to-be-open Highway 60 bypass. Le Mars Mayor Virgil Van Beek sees the business location as a new city gateway.

Van Beek says it’s an “awesome” facility that he says will become the new “front door of Le Mars.” Wells C-E-O Gary Wells says the company has a lot of bright days ahead. Wells says they’ve had a great year and have grown their sales tremendously and that doesn’t look to change. The ribbon cutting came one day after the 93rd anniversary of the start of the family-owned dairy.
