Two fires gutt home, businesses in Bancroft

November 13, 2006 By admin

Two fires broke out within minutes of each other last night (Sunday) in the Kossuth County town of Bancroft, gutting a home and two businesses. The first fire was reported at a restaurant called The Red Barn. Bancroft Police Chief Art Ingalls says the fire started in the kitchen and spread to a business next door called Cargo Express. A second fire was called in from the Chuck Doocy residence several blocks away. That home was a total loss. No cause has been released yet. No one was hurt in either fire.
