A one-car accident in Worth County last night killed a teen driver from Santa Rosa, California. The Iowa State Patrol says the car was heading southbound on Interstate-35 at about 6:30 PM from Top of Iowa Welcome Center when the driver lost control and over-corrected, going into the shoulder and causing the vehicle to roll six times. The driver of the vehicle, 18-year-old Jessica Hanna Cooper, was ejected from the vehicle and killed. The other passengers in the vehicle were all seriously injured and were all taken to Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City: 20-year-old Kia Stenlund of Grand Rapids Minnesota, 21-year-old Joseph Downrie of Grand Rapids, 19-year-old Anna Recto of Santa Rosa, and Andrew Arvidson of Grand Rapids.
