Gilmore city man dies in traffic accident

December 4, 2006 By admin

Authorities say a north-central Iowa man ran a stop sign over the weekend and paid for it with his life.
The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the crash that happened Saturday afternoon in Hamilton County.

Forty-six-year-old Daniel Fort of Gilmore City reportedly failed to stop at the intersection and was broadsided by a truck driven by 26-year-old Nicholas Molitor of Eagle Grove. Fort was killed. Molitor and a passenger in Fort’s car, 15-year-old Amy Sanchez of Eagle Grove, were taken to an Eagle Grove hospital for treatment.
