Three police officers from western Iowa are finding themselves on the wrong side of the law after a hunting incident. Officers Aaron Holtz and Brad Wendt of the Harlan Police Department, and Officer Kent Gries, who’s from Elk Horn but works for the Coon Rapids Police Department, face charges of trespassing and pursuing a deer with a motor vehicle.

According to the Cass County Attorney’s Office, the alleged offenses happened on or about November 24th in Cass County. Also facing charges are Ross Burchett, Dan Grabil and Dustin Hansen, all of Harlan.
