Voters in the Iowa Central Community College district in some 19 Iowa counties in northwest and north-central Iowa are deciding today (Tuesday) on a ten-million dollar bond issue to help pay for Workforce Development programs and infrastructure improvements to the college.

About three-million dollars would fund the school’s proposed bio-science/health science center at Fort Dodge which would house the biofuels program. The 15-year bond issue would increase property taxes by 18-cents for every thousand-dollars assessed valuation. It’s the first bond issue for Iowa Central since the school opened in 1966.
