Daycare worker faces molestation charge in Clinton

December 6, 2006 By admin

A former Ashford University student who worked at a Clinton daycare center faces molestation charges. Police say 18-year-old Dale Brown the Third, of Momence, Illinois, is charged with three counts of second-degree sex abuse. Brown is accused of fondling a five-year-old child on three separate occasions while the boy was napping. The child was enrolled in a daycare center on the Ashford University campus.

Brown is held at the Clinton County Jail on a 100-thousand dollar bond. A preliminary hearing is planned for Friday. Police were notified about the alleged incidents on November 22nd. School officials say Brown is no longer a student there. If convicted, he could face up to 25 years in prison.
