Two Black Hawk County women face multiple charges of child endangerment and assault. Thirty-five-year-old Darlissa Cannon-Stone of Cedar Falls and 37-year-old Anita Harris of Waterloo were arrested last (Monday) night after police responded to a report of a possible assault in Cedar Falls.

Officers talked with the 14-year-old girl, who was allegedly assaulted, then went to her home a few block away. When officers arrived the girl’s home, they found two more assault victims — both teenage girls. Officials say a fourth girl ran from residence and a fifth teenager — a 13-year-old — was also found inside the home.

The Department of Human Services was called to assist with the investigation. Police say D-H-S officials removed the four assault victims from the home. Cannon-Stone is charged with three counts of child endangerment and three counts of assault causing injury. Police arrested Harris on one count of child endangerment and three counts of assault causing injury. Both women are in the Black Hawk County Jail.
