We know how many workers were rounded up at a meatpacking plant in Marshalltown on Tuesday. Immigrations and Customs officials released results of their immigration sweep at six Swift and Company plants, including the pork-processing plant in Marshalltown.

In all, 1,282 workers were arrested in Tuesday’s raid, most of them on immigration charges. Sixty-five were arrested on criminal charges. In Marshalltown, 90 were arrested and detained in Tuesday’s raid. Swift officials in a written statement today (Wednesday) said all six plants are in production but running at reduced levels. The company isn’t saying howmuch production was lost, but it’s expected to be below normal for the time being.
