Coiuncil Bluffs hosts poker qualifying tournament

December 14, 2006 By admin

Iowa card sharks will be able to sink or swim as a qualifying tournament for a major poker challenge will be held in southwestern Iowa next month. The Harrah’s Horseshoe Casino in Council Bluffs will host Iowa’s first-ever World Series of Poker qualifying tournament January 29th through February Seventh.

Organizers are expecting players from around the region to take part in the tournament. The winner gets one-milion-dollars, a ring, and a spot in the 2007 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas to play for a pot worth more than 12-million-dollars.
