Family files suit over illness at Taco John’s in Cedar Falls

December 14, 2006 By admin

The parents of a Cedar Falls girl who apparently fell ill after eating tacos at a fast-food restaurant have filed a lawsuit against the Taco John’s chain. The parents of nine-year-old Autumn Saul filed the lawsuit in federal court. They say on November 29th, the girl ate two soft-shell tacos purchased from the Taco John’s in Cedar Falls. That Taco John’s is at the center of an E-coli investigation.

The girl fell ill and was taken to the emergency room at a local hospital, then transferred to University Hospitals in Iowa City. She is still in the hospital, being treated for kidney failure. A lawyer based in Seattle, Washington, who specializes in E-coli related cases is representing the Cedar Falls family.
