I-S-U to play in Wells Fargo against Bradley

December 15, 2006 By admin

The Iowa State men return to action Saturday at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines when they host Bradley. The Braves are coming off a banner season that included a trip to the Sweet-16 of the NCAA Tournament.

Despite losing a number of key players from a year ago the Braves are off to a 6-3 start. I-S-U coach Greg McDermott who says Bradley is playing with confidence as there are several members back from the Sweet 16 team of last year.

McDermott says Bradley is winning in a different way this season. He says they’ve taken 223 three-point shots and are shooting just under 50 percent. McDermott says they have seven players who’re shooting above 40-percent from the three-point line, something he says is almost unheard of. Iowa State is 6-3.
