American Cancer Society offers golf passes

December 18, 2006 By admin

Iowans who still need to buy a holiday gift for someone who’s a golfer might consider a Midwest Golf Pass to benefit the American Cancer Society. The pass provides year-round discounts, unlimited rounds of golf and other bargains at more than 500 golf courses in Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

Cancer survivor Leo Chisholm of Osage has purchased the golf passes for years and says it’s a great gift for your favorite foursome. Chisholm says if you buy three at 35-dollars each, you get the fourth one free, with all the money going to the American Cancer Society.

Chisholm says it’s great bargain if you have a regular group of golfers that play every week. He says with the pass, you will play courses you ordinarily might not play for heavily discounted rates. Chisholm says in Osage, there are between 12 and 20 guys who visit a different course every Wednesday using the passes. He says it’s great to see golf courses throughout the Midwest support the fight against cancer.

For more information on the passes, call your local Iowa chapter of the American Cancer Society or toll-free at 800-ACS-2345.
