Corning cop under investigation for sexual assault

December 19, 2006 By admin

A policeman from southwest Iowa is under investigation for alleged sexual assault. Officials with the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation say 32-year old Michael Donahue of Corning has been suspended from the Corning Police force, pending the outcome of an investigation into allegations he committed a sexual assault during the early morning hours of December 10th.

On Monday, the Adams County Attorney asked the D-C-I to investigate the allegations after an un-named Corning resident filed a complaint against Donahue. Their findings will be turned over to the Iowa Attorney General?s office, who will determine whether criminal charges are warranted.
