Miller’s mother arrested

January 8, 2007 By admin

The mother of a slain Floyd County girl is in trouble with the law. Twenty-three-year-old Noel Miller of Charles City was arrested on Friday by police on a Floyd County warrant for going armed with a knife. Miller was booked into jail but was released on Saturday after her appearance before a magistrate judge.

Details of Miller’s arrest were not immediately available. Miller’s five-year-old daughter Evelyn disappeared from her family’s apartment in Floyd in July 2005, with her body being found five days later on the banks of the Cedar River about two miles from her home. Evelyn’s death was ruled a homicide, and no charges have been filed in her death.
