Fishing licenses expire Wednesday

January 9, 2007 By admin

If you go fishing in Iowa it’s time to renew your license. Mick Klemesrud of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources says all fishing licenses will expire on Wednesday (January 10). Klemesrud says there has not been a change in the cost of the 2007 licenses, they will cost 17-dollars and fifty cents.

Klemesrud says you should be able to easily renew your license. He says with the electronic licensing, you no longer have to fill out the paperwork, you just swipe your diver’s license and tell the clerk which privileges you want. Klemesrud says you can go to over 900 places to get a license. Klemesrud says the state sells 310 to 350-thousand licenses annually.
