UNI women hope to keep 7 game winning streak alive

January 11, 2007 By admin

The UNI women try to build on a seven-game winning streak tonight when they host Evansville in Missouri Valley Conference play. The Panthers are one of two remaining unbeaten teams in the Valley race and will need to slow down Evansville’s high powered offense.

UNI coach Tony DiCecco says Evansville has already gone over 90 several times and have the ability to score "a boatload of points." DiCecco says the Panthers will need to guard the perimeter, as Evansville has one of the better perimeter games in the league. He says they can also shoot free throws.
