Iowa coach Steve Alford says Minnesota remains a dangerous team despite being without junior center Spencer Rollbacks. The Gopher standout will miss Saturday’s matchup in Iowa City. He is out three weeks after suffering a broken hand in last weekend’s loss to Wisconsin.

Iowa coach Steve Alford says anybody who plays them is a danger because they are a young team and they respect them. Alford says this is a big game for the Hawkeyes who are coming off Wednesday night’s loss at Illinois. Alford says they have to play well, as the rest of the games the rest of the year they can’t play bad and win.

Sophomore Jon Williams takes over a center for the Gophers. Williams says he’ll just try to be himself. Williams says he and freshman Bryce Webster will do all they can in Tollackson’s place, and will do things in a different way. Both teams are 1-1 in the Big Ten. The Hawkeyes are 9-7 overall while the Gophers are 7-9.
