Iowa State falls in flat effort at Colorado

January 18, 2007 By admin

After an inspired effort in an overtime loss to Kansas the Iowa State Cyclones came out flat against Colorado Wednesday night and it cost them as the Buffaloes posted their first Big-12 victory 74-65.

ISU coach Greg McDermott says his team has to learn from that as he says they can’t come out flat against anyone and win.

McDermott says based on the practices leading up to the game he was not surprised by the outcome. He says he told the team they got what they asked for. McDermott says the coaching staff did what it could to "turn the light on" in practice, and they weren’t successful.

The Cyclones are 2-2 in the Big 12 and 11-7 overall. They will host Kansas State this weekend.
