Farm Progress Show picks Boone location

The nations largest outdoor farm show has chosen a permanent site in central Iowa. The Farm Progress Show has chosen Boone as it’s permanent site for the biannual show. The developed Iowa site will be known as the Central Iowa Expo. It will be capable of hosting other events and activities when not being utilized by the Farm Progress Show.

The Farm Progress Show will set up their permanent Iowa site at the intersections on Highway 30 and Highway 17, just east of Boone. It’s central location positions the Farm Progress Show close to Iowa State University, a leader in agriculture information. Extensive construction will begin this spring to and is expected to be completed for the 2008 show, August 26, 27, and 28th. Last summer the Farm Progress Show was held in Amana. The other biennial permanent site is Decatur, Illinois.
