Cold could be to blame for Southeast Iowa death

February 6, 2007 By admin

Authorities in southeast Iowa say the extreme cold could be to blame for the death of a woman found lying in her yard Monday. The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office, and a Van Buren County Ambulance responded and found 39-year-old Edith Adler of Birmingham around 7:30 A.M.

Adler was transported to the Jefferson County Hospital where she later died. At this time no foul play is suspected, and authorities believe the severely cold temperatures were a factor in the Adler’s death. An autopsy is scheduled.
