An autopsy is being conducted today on the body found in a Clinton home that was destroyed by fire on Monday. The body was discovered in the home after investigators were able to reinforce parts of the damaged structure to allow a search. Clinton County Dr. Paul Koobe says dental records are being used to determine a positive identification.

Although a positive I.D. has not been released, the owner/occupant of the home has been identified as 72-year-old Betty Hosette and relatives and neighbors believe she was at home at the time of the fire. A local funeral home also has arrangements pending for Hosette.
