Iowa State snapped Oklahoma’s four game winning streak. The Cyclones built an 18 point second half lead then withstood a late rally by the Sooners for a 58-51 win. Jiri Hubalek poured in a career high 26 points for ISU, Mike Taylor added 12 and Junior forward Rashon Clark added ten points on five-of-six shooting.

Clark says they came in with the mindset that they lost too many home games. He says they came into the game with the idea that they weren’t going to lose at home.

Iowa State coach Greg McDermott called it the Cyclones best win of the season. McDermott says when you consider the way they’ve struggled in the last two weeks and how well Oklahoma has played, it was a great win and the best defensive effort of the year.

McDermott says the Cyclones played well on both ends of the floor. McDermott says he’s proud of the way they came out and played and had fun. He says they aren’t used to playing with the lead, but made good decisions down the stretch. The Cyclones are 4-7 in the big 12 and 13-12 overall.
