UNI women face Wichita State

February 15, 2007 By admin

The UNI women are at home tonight in the Missouri Valley Conference to take on Wichita State. The Panthers are 7-6 in the Valley after road losses to Evansville and Southern Illinois which knocked them out of the regular season title chase.

Panther coach Tony DiCecco says they’ll fight like crazy to finish as high as they can in the conference. DiCecco says the race is probably between Illinois State, Southern Illinois and Evansville.

Wichita State enters the contest with a 4-8 Valley record. DiCecco says they were picked second at the start of the season, but have struggled during the season.
