Iowa continues to build on its reputation as being a haven for renewable energies. A company based in Pamplona, Spain, plans to invest 95-million dollars in building a factory to manufacture wind turbines in the eastern Iowa town of West Branch.

Acciona Energy says it’ll create 110 jobs. The company got nearly three-million dollars from the state Economic Development Board this week to go ahead with the project and seeks two-point-three million more in tax breaks.

Two other companies have launched plans to build the large wind turbines in Iowa , Clipper Windpower of California is setting up shop in Cedar Rapids, while Siemens, based in Germany, is building in Fort Madison.
