Iowa’s Public Safety Commissioner has advised state legislators to be on the look-out for a "suspicious" package in their mail. According to a memo from Iowa Public Safety Commissioner Eugene Meyer, "there is no immediate indication that any harm will come to someone" who handles the mailing but it is "suspicious in nature" and the D.C.I. is investigating.
So far, at least three of Iowa’s 150 state legislators have received a white envelope with a C.D. enclosed. There’s something written on the C.D. container about preventing "another Holocaust." Officials are advising lawmakers not to put the C.D. in their computer. Legislators have been asked to keep an eye out for the mailing, place the envelope and C.D. in a paper bag if they do receive one, and call the Iowa State Patrol.
