Creco teen dies in accident

A northeast Iowa teenage has died in a two-vehicle accident in Winneshiek County. The accident happened late Saturday afternoon on Highway 139 in Western Winneshiek County.

A car driven by 17-year-old Kari Lyn Anderson of Cresco went out of control, crossed the center line and collided with an oncoming pickup driven by 87-year-old Adrian Knox of Canton, Minnesota. Anderson died of her injuries and Knox was taken to the Cresco Hospital for treatment.
