Iowa State coach Greg McDermott says the Cyclones are not even thinking about the post-season as they prepare for Wednesday’s game at home against Colorado. At 13-13, ISU will need a strong finish just to be considered for the NIT.

McDermott says you have to play the games and get ready for each game on a day-by-day basis and then let the people evaluate it at the end and decided if you deserve a postseason bid. McDermott says you can get caught up in looking ahead and he says in their case, they’re trying to build a program.

McDermott says he is more concerned about the long-term health of the program. He says a postseason bid would be great for the program, but it’s not something he will lose sleep over. McDermott says he has a lot of other issues he’s working on to improve in his team.

The Cyclones are 4-8 in the Big-12 after a loss at Kansas State.
