Iowa women end regular season with win

February 26, 2007 By admin

It was icy outside but the Iowa Hawkeye women featured some hot-shooting as they closed out the regular season with a 103-93 win over Wisconsin.

Iowa coach Lisa Bluder says it was fun for the players and fans any time you score 100, but she was pleased with the execution of the team and they way they passed the ball. The Hawkeyes finish the Big Ten race 6-10 and will open the Big Ten Tournament on Thursday in Indianapolis against Indiana.

Bluder says it puts you in a better mental frame to go in after a win. She says they haven’t played Indiana in a long time, so they have to get ready to play and hope to get on a roll in the tournament.

Iowa is 14-15 overall.
